Martha Bond
Pensacola native Martha Bond is an artist, jewelry designer, and lifelong rock hound whose work is inspired by the beauty and wonder of the natural world. She earned her bachelor’s degree in studio art from University of West Florida in 1972 and later studied jewelry design at Pinellas Technical College.
Martha’s fascination with stones and minerals began in childhood when her brother placed a raw piece of rose quartz in her hand. Captivated by the colors, patterns, and hidden brilliance found within the earth, she developed a lifelong appreciation for the artistry of God’s creation. That early experience eventually led her into jewelry making more than 30 years ago.
During her years in St. Louis, Martha worked alongside a lampwork glass artist, further refining her artistic skills and deepening her love for handcrafted design. Today, her jewelry reflects both her artistic training and her passion for natural materials. She creates one-of-a-kind pieces using semi-precious stones, Czech glass, and sterling silver.
For Martha, each stone tells a story and reflects the beauty of its Creator. Inspired by Luke 19:40 — “the rocks cry out” — her work celebrates the wonder, creativity, and spiritual significance found in the natural world.
