Linda Loomis is a fine artist based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Originally from the Czech Republic, she was introduced to art at a young age by her mother, a clay artist who also taught her the fundamentals of drawing and painting. During high school, Linda attended the School of Applied Arts, where she focused on graphic illustration. There, she gained a strong foundation in classical graphic techniques and began creating works featuring people, landscapes, and still life.
She continued her studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, focusing on painting under the mentorship of renowned Czech artist Vaclav Stratil. Under his mentorship, Linda explored various media, experimented with short films and photography, and developed her skills in acrylic and oil painting.
After earning her master's degree in fine arts, Linda relocated to the United States, where she has lived and worked as an artist in Santa Rosa Beach for the past twenty years. While she creates portraits for people, she is passionate about large-scale paintings in acrylic, oil, and spray paint. Her inspiration is drawn from everyday life and her style blends realism with abstraction-vivid colors and softened forms to create a dreamlike quality. In recent years, she has been working on a series featuring birds and berries.
Looking ahead, she envisions expanding her art through large-scale mural projects in public spaces, bringing her work into direct dialogue with the community and environment.
