Joy Cawiezell is an artist based in Freeport, Florida. She has more than fifteen years of experience working in acrylics, watercolor, graphite, and ceramics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of West Florida, where her academic foundation deepened a lifelong passion for the visual arts.

Joy is especially drawn to portraiture, finding inspiration in capturing the individuality and God-given beauty of every person she portrays. Her work reflects both technical skill and a heartfelt appreciation for the stories and spirit within her subjects.

When she is not creating in her home studio, Joy shares her knowledge and enthusiasm with young artists as a teacher at Freeport Middle School. Beyond the classroom and studio, she is actively involved in student ministry and cherishes time spent with her husband, two children, and beloved cats.
